Its a waiting game

I just needed to let you all know that we are STILL WAITING for

1) The gorgeous Gerry to lay the tarmac,
2) The even more gorgeous Tony to lay the armoured cable and associated external electrical bits
3) The not very gorgeous Barry to look at the chimney
4) The glamorous Kathryn to sort out the deeds for Bandon and change names so that Our Father and I can be property owners again
5) Mum of all to get hold of Paddy to fix the car mirror
6) Mum of all to find out if the car insurance will cover the cost of a new windscreen. Some so and so over took unnecessarily and send a stone straight at us. Bang it went and there is a star shaped chip in the screen. And the NCT comes up on May 15th.

I read with great interest all the other blogs and wish I too had something positive to report. Am very envious.

It all sounds very frustrating, it'll all sort itself out though.

Just make sure you don't let Our Father anywhere near the glamorous Kathryn.....

Bad luck on the windscreen front - it's something that happens here in winter, with the amount of grit on the road - still it's better than an Elk through the windscreen, which is quite a serious hazard here. Saab (or is it Volvo?) actually conduct Elk crash tests, believe it or not, as apparently what happens is that the dopey Elks legs get sideswiped and all 200-300kg of Elk come straight through the windscreen... I didn't make this up - go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moose_test to read more!!!
